What Is LANAP?
LANAP is an alternative to traditional methods of removing inflamed gum tissue. LANAP removes this tissue while leaving the healthy gums intact. It also does not have any negative impact on the jawbone. What Are the Benefits of LANAP?
With previous methods of treating gum disease, it would take two to six weeks for a patient to fully recover. However, with laser gum therapy, most patients fully recover within 24 hours. The procedure preserves more of the patient’s natural tooth structure and it can actually promote bone regeneration if anything was destroyed from the periodontal disease.
