  1. Enjoy the Treats of the Season

We like sweets too and know that cutting them out completely is not a realistic goal. Enjoy sugary treats in moderation, eat slowly, and pick a healthier option if you go back for seconds.

  1. Water is a Seasonal Favorite

Cut back on the sugar-intake by skipping the sodas and juices this year. Sugary liquids throughout the day can increase your risk of cavities. Use some water to swish away the decay-causing bacteria until you can brush later.

  1. Remember to Brush and Floss

Brush at least twice a day for two minutes with a fluoride toothpaste. Healthy oral hygiene habits will keep your pearly whites merry and bright all season long.

  1. Be Nice to Your Teeth

Our teeth are useful tools for cutting and chewing our food but please avoid opening gifts, ripping tape, or breaking ribbons with your teeth. Grab the scissors instead. Avoid eating sticky sweets like caramel to prevent fillings or crowns from popping out. Let that hard ribbon candy melt in your mouth and do not bite down to keep your teeth safe.
