Pinhole Surgical Technique Overview
PST is a cutting-edge type of gum surgery that treats gum recession without grafting tissue into the receded area. Dr. McCawley performs the procedure by making a tiny entry-point into the gum tissue with a specialized tool. He inserts small tools through the entry-point and uses them to carefully detach the gum tissue from the surface of the teeth. Once detached, the gum tissue can be gently moved downward or upward to cover up a greater portion of the teeth.
Pinhole Surgical Technique™ gum recession treatment causes minimal trauma to gum tissue, and the recovery period associated with the procedure is very quick when compared to gum grafting.
